Plein Sud – ‘Due South’ letting the sun shine in
The big talking point regarding the Renault 4 Plein Sud is its electrically retractable
canvas roof, measuring 92cm long by 80cm wide, creating almost one square metre
of open-air space and providing what Renault describes as the widest opening in the
segment.
The roof can be opened, closed or positioned at intermediate settings in around 10
seconds, either via a dedicated overhead switch or by voice command through
Renault's Reno virtual assistant. It can also be operated while driving at speeds of up
to 90km/h.
Despite the addition of the retractable roof, this Renault 4 E-Tech Electric Plein Sud
offers:
 Seating for five passengers
 A 420-litre boot
 Low loading sill (607mm) for easy access
 750kg towing capacity
 Fold-flat rear seats
 Renault's latest OpenR Link infotainment system with Google built-in

Minimal Impact on Efficiency
The Plein Sud adds 19kg compared with the standard fixed-roof model. The Techno
version achieves up to 392km WLTP, just 7km less than the equivalent standard
Renault 4 E-Tech Electric.
The Plein Sud model also benefits from Renault's latest EV technologies, including:
 11kW AC charging
 100kW DC rapid charging
 Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) bi-directional functionality
 Google built-in connectivity
 Electric Route Planner
 Plug & Charge compatibility
 One Pedal driving
