Nissan LEAF goes on nationwide tour prior to February launch

Not due here until February, the new 2026 Nissan LEAF is going on an effective
nationwide tour via the Nissan Ireland dealer network. Customers will get
opportunity to sample the car that started the revolution up close and personal in the
warmth and comfort of their local dealer - this latest model offering a range of
622kms and the power to recover up to 420 kilometres after just 30 minutes of DC
fast-charging.
Beginning from Monday, 17 th November through to Sunday, 14 th December,
customers can see the car close, book a test-drive and place pre-orders ahead of its
car’s arrival in showrooms next February.
Enthusiastic enquiries from existing customers and those inquisitive have led to the
creation of this nationwide event, the recent feedback from the NEVO EV Exhibition
at the RDS, consolidating the decision.
Seamus Morgan, Managing Director of Nissan Ireland, commented, ‘The Nissan
LEAF was the world’s first mass-market EV, and this is the next step in its evolution.
It goes further on one charge, it charges faster when you need to recharge, and it
delivers impressive range at motorway speeds, which is great news for anyone
thinking of making the switch to electric driving.’
Two battery versions, the 75kWh battery unit offering a range of up to 622
kilometres, while the 52kWh battery offers above 440 kilometres range. With a
motorway range of up to 330 kms at 130 kph and up to 430 kilometres at 110 kph,
and an energy consumption as low as 13.8 kWh/100km.
On-board tech is going to satisfy all bar those who should be working in NASA, with
NissanConnect with Google built-in, at the heart of the connected experience,
offering Google Maps with In Car Route Planner, Google Assistance for hands free
control over navigation, media, climate and more, and Google Play for apps,
streaming and productivity tools.
The all-new LEAF features a suite of advanced safety and driver assistance features
from Intelligent Emergency Braking and Blind Spot Intervention to Rear Cross
Traffic Alert and Lane Keep Assist. Its 3D Around View Monitor, Invisible Hood
View and Front Wide View making parking and navigating tight spaces easier and
safer.
