Peugeot Ireland have released pricing for their new 208 and e208 ahead of its first deliveries in early 2020.
Prices start from €18,300 plus delivery related charges, for the Active 1.2 PureTech 75bhp model. The e-208 Active version retails from €27,334, plus delivery, inclusive of the SEAI grant and VRT relief.
Trims & Engine range
Three trims are on the menu, Active, Allure and GT Line, with four petrol and one diesel engine available. Two petrol 1.2 PureTech engines with 75bhp and 100bhp, via a 5-speed, 6-speed manual transmission respectively. There is also an 8-speed automatic, 1.2 PureTech with 130bhp for those who like a little more oomph. Diesel is offered in a 1.5 BlueHDi 100bhp 6-spd manual.

The all-electric powertrain is available across Active, Allure and GT Line trims, with the flagship GT version exclusively fitted with the zero-emissions unit. The 100 KW (136 bhp) electric unit with 50kWh battery, develops 260 Nm of torque from 0 km/h, for instant response.
Three drive modes, Eco, Normal and Sport, are provided on the e-208 and drive range is up to 340 km, in accordance with the latest WLTP (Worldwide harmonised Light vehicles Test Procedures) certification. The battery is guaranteed for 8 years or 160,000 km, for up to 70% retention. Interior and boot-space are identical to the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) versions as the batteries are distributed under the floor pan.
