New Opel Mokka GSE will tempt the many and be owned by the few

Word has just reached us that the Mokka GSE, inspired by the prototype Mokka GSE
Rally, will go into serial production. Having developed cumulative experience gained
from its involvement in the German ADAC Opel Electric Rally Cup, this new Mokka
GSE promises performance and road dynamics that will appeal to those who like
their flavour on the hot side.
Those of us with electric experience will be well aware of how the horizon can easily
land in your lap, courtesy of the immediate torque and power silently available. This
rally-inspired, front wheel drive, Mokka GSE comes with 208bhp and 345Nm of
torque, certainly enough to introduce you to your local magistrate and put your
future liberty seriously under pressure.
Weighing in at less than 1.6 tonnes, the Mokka GSE stores its energy in a 54kWh
lithium-ion battery, the Mokka GSE comes with three drive modes, ECO, Normal
and Sport, all very explanatory, all with the talent to satisfy those who like to live as
close to their future as possible.

Those with tech on their mind and sport in their blood will relish that the Mokka
GSE’s front-wheel drive, also comes with a Torsen multi-plate limited-slip
differential as well as a chassis with specially designed axles and new double
hydraulic shock absorbers.
Noted also should be that all high-voltage components of the standard Mokka GSE,
such as the motor, inverter, battery or wiring harness, come from the Mokka GSE
Rally. The steering system, chassis and brakes have also been designed to be
particularly sporty and optimised thanks to Opel's experience in electric rallying.
GSE-specific, yellow and black, inserts, inspired by the rally prototype, adorn this
compact electric car on the front apron and at the rear.
The 2025 Mokka GSE stands on new, aerodynamically optimised, 20-inch alloy
wheels, which are combined with Michelin Pilot Sport EV 225/40 R20 tyres, only
available for the Mokka GSE at Opel. The visual addition of yellow GSE callipers
confirm the Mokka GSE’s raison d'etre.
Sit into the Mokka GSE and immediately you note that grey/black, white and yellow
are the predominant colours. The driver and the co-driver sit on special Alcantara
GSE sports seats with integrated headrests, firmly nestling the front passengers into
the vehicle. A white line extends across the centre of the covers and yellow stitching
giving the seats their characteristic look. Alcantara door inserts are further proof of
the attention to detail.
The steering system, newly developed for the Mokka GSE plus the steering wheel,
flattened at the top and bottom, promise direct feedback while aluminium sports
pedals await acceleration and braking commands.

All necessary information is provided to the driver by the central colour touchscreen,
and by the 10-inch digital driver information display that can be customised in many
ways. This contains GSE performance data, G-force display, acceleration values,
battery management data and much more. The displays were also designed in GSE
Further information on the world premiere and market launch of the new Opel
Mokka GSE will follow in the near future.
