Citroen C5 Aircross - Comfort cruising in 222

Citroën have just announced full details of their facelifted C5 Aircross SUV which offers a newly designed front end, designed rear taillights, new interior seating and will be available with a choice of petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid versions. The first models are set to arrive in Ireland next month for the 222-registration period.
Outside view
Offering ground clearance of 230mm, this new C5Aircross wears the brand logo in chrome on the front grille as an extension of the daytime running lights, the larger Citroen chevron logo is set in a black lacquer with chrome surrounds giving it immediate identity. At the rear , the light signature has been redesigned with darkened glass, highlighting three individual LED lighting modules in a 3D effect.
Colour Options
The facelifted C5 Aircross will be available in 6 different colour options including the new Eclipse Blue option which changes shade based on the external light exposure.
Inside Story
Inside, a fully customisable 12.3” digital display provides all essential and customisable information directly in the driver’s eye-line. There is also a newly designed 10” touchscreen infotainment system (My Citroën Drive) which comes as standard from the second trim level and provides a more modern feel to the cabin. This new design improves ergonomics by allowing the air vents to move below the screen to ensure a higher reading position.
Comfort is assured via the latest generation of Citroën Advanced Comfort seats, offering high-density foam in the core of the seat with an extra 15mm layer of memory foam featuring a specific design to resist sagging over time. Colours and materials have also been refined, with new contemporary seating fabrics complimented by decorative blue stitching which extends onto the door panels and dashboard.
Suspension and Space
The New C5 Aircross runs on Progressive Hydraulic Cushions suspension, exclusive to Citroën, all designed to absorb road imperfections and ensures that passengers travel in comfort. It also comes with three individual sliding, reclining and retractable rear seats, plus a very usable boot volume of 580L to 720L in the petrol and diesel versions and from 460L to 600L for the hybrid version.
Safety & Assistance
A wide range of the latest-generation technologies comes with the New C5 Aircross, including Highway Driver Assist, a level 2 autonomous driving system that combines Adaptive Cruise Control with a Stop & Go function and the Active Lane Departure Warning system.

Petrol, Diesel and Hybrid options
The C5 Aircross Petrol offering is a 1.2 litre PureTech 130hp engine paired to either a 6-speed manual and 8-speed automatic transmission, while the Diesel 1.5 litre BlueHDi 130hp engine will also be matched to a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission. Those choosing the Plug-in Hybrid version will feature a 1.6 litre petrol engine paired to an 80kW electric motor, delivering a combined power output of 225hp, with the possibility of driving up to 55 km in full electric mode.
This Plug-In Hybrid version will also benefit from a range of online connected services to facilitate delayed charging and cabin pre-conditioning via the My Citroën smartphone app. Charging is fast, with a full charge completed in less than two hours using a standard wall-box connection.
C5 Aircross Trim levels
Trim level specification for the new C5 Aircross will start with a Feel Pack model (usually the middle specification grade) before moving to a Flair model and finishing with a range topping C-Series special edition.
The Feel Pack comes with:

Pricing for the New C5 Aircross SUV starts from €38,990 or from €380 per month with 1.9% APR finance.
