Standing beside each other on the showroom floor of importers, Gowan Auto, the
latest Citroen C3 Aircross and C5 Aircross look both related and ready. More elevated
than the normal hatchback, the C3 Aircross has a height of 200mm, providing easy
access and departure, with friendly seating awaiting every tush and high-tech
standard features for your comfort, entertainment and safety. We live now in a world
where never was so much, offered to so many, by so many.
The new 2026 C3 has a starting price from €27,790 for the Petrol manual 5-seater,
with the brand-new option of a 7-seater also on the menu. This all-new C3 Aircross
embodies this with the C-Zen-Lounge concept, with one of my favourite additions,
the Head-Up Display, plus a reduced-size steering wheel, and new Citroën Advanced
Comfort seats redesigned for optimum support.
This all-new C3 Aircross is based on the Smart Car platform, designed to
accommodate a range of internal combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles. Here,
Citroën introduces a 100 bhp turbo petrol powertrain from €27,790 for 5 seat and
€28,990 for 7 seats. The 3-cylinder PureTech Turbo 100 6-speed manual is coupled
with a six-speed manual transmission.
The 2026 C3 Aircross showcases another new powertrain in its Hybrid 136 version
from €29,390 for 5 seat and €30,590 for 7 seats. The 48V hybrid uses the new-
generation 1.2 PureTech engine developed specifically for hybrids. It has a variable
geometry turbocharger and a timing chain that contributes to its robustness,
combined with an e-DCT electrified dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Citroën is also offering an electric version of its 5-seater C3 Aircross from €28,452
including grants. Suited to the driving habits of customers in this segment, the
electric version is powered by an 83 kW/113 bhp motor combined with a 54 kWh LFP
(Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery with a WLTP range of 400km. New ë-C3 Aircross
will charge from 20% to 80% in around 4 hours on a 7kW charger, 2 hours and
50mins on 11kW and just 26 minutes on a 100kW fast charger.
Citroen Comfort
Ride comfort is also enhanced thanks to the adoption of the Citroën Advanced
Comfort suspension with dual progressive hydraulic bump stops, available on all
trim levels. Customers can choose from the C3 Aircross being electrified in two ways:
a 136 bhp Hybrid 48V powertrain, and a full electric version featuring a range of
more than 400 km and a petrol engine.
The front-end design displays the new logo recently adopted by C5 Aircross, C3 and
C4 models. With a length of 4.39m, the all-new C3 Aircross looks more assertive,
more muscular and more robust. The SUV look comes through loud and clear on the
high, horizontal bonnet and the front-end vertical lines. The straight roof and height
of 1.66 m provide passengers with generous space.
Inside Story
Inside, the C3 Aircross offers the C-Zen Lounge concept – which combines a
dashboard with the new head-up vision system – and Citroën Advanced Comfort
seats. Known as the Sofa Design, the dashboard area is covered in a special fabric
and embellished at both ends with new zones of warm light, adding to the feeling of
well-being. In the upper section, the absence of a cluster screen clears the view, for
driving comfort and enhanced safety as essential driving information is cleverly
projected onto a head-up display.
The small multifunction steering wheel, has easy up, down, in, out adjustment. The
all-new C3 Aircross Advanced Comfort seats, are equipped with a new seat surface
that includes an extra 10 to 15 mm of foam. The C3 Aircross features a 10.25-inch
touchscreen, oriented slightly towards the driver. It uses widget architecture inspired
by smartphones with vertical shortcuts providing access to the main navigation,
telephone, radio, applications and media functions to make it as user friendly as
possible. A wireless WiFi connection enables smartphone compatibility with Apple
CarPlay and Android Auto, with two USB-C sockets at the front and two more in row
2. A 15W wireless smartphone charger is integrated into a dedicated storage space in
the centre console on MAX versions.
7-Seat convenience
Citroën is offering a 7-seater version of the all-new C3 Aircross on Petrol and Hybrid
powertrains. The design of the rear quarter panel creates a square, vertical stance,
providing ample space for the third-row passengers with a large rear door and easy-
tilt seat backs in row 2 to facilitate access to this third row, which features two
retractable extra seats. Available whenever necessary, they consist of a seat and two
backrests that can be folded 50/50, providing a flat load surface when not deployed
with a cover to house any necessary cargo.
In its 7-seat version, the C3 Aircross offers the same knee-to-knee length in row 2 as
the C3, elbow width that is 25 mm wider than the category average, and generous
headroom. In 5 seat versions, C3 Aircross has a 40/60 bench seat that is 65 mm
further back than on the 7-seater version. The result is generous space in row 2. With
all seats deployed, the boot volume is 330 litres, and 40 litres in the 7-seat
configuration.
The all-new C3 Aircross is available a 5-seater in petrol, hybrid, and electric, and a 7-
seater available in petrol and hybrid. identical in their design and dimensions - The
C3 Aircross benefits from a palette of six strong shades including Perla Nera Black,
Mercury Grey, Elixir Red, Monte Carlo Blue, Polar White and Montana Green, paired
with the two available roof colours - white and black.
MAX grade models will benefit from a bi-tone roof dependent on the colour,
meanwhile PLUS grades will be a cost option. New C3 Aircross can be personalised
using colour clips in three different colours, each coordinated with the body colour.
Citroën will offer additional colour clips as accessories, in the form of kits of 4 pieces,
for more extensive customisation.
