Blackstone Motor Group add Opel to their family

Blackstone Motor Group have just been appointed by Opel Ireland to the Opel Dealer Network. The appointment sees the introduction of the Opel franchise for New Vehicle Sales and Aftersales to Blackstone Motor Group's dealerships in both Cavan and Louth.

It is always good to see businesses expand and develop, particularly those that have a strong community-based approach to their presence. This is never more important and worthy of comment than at this time of bat-bug upheaval, when our every activity must be strategised as never before. We need to keep the vibrancy within our communities through the lock-downs/restrictions and while that is down to local energies and personal input, the additional and vital support from local businesses is a key factor in keeping these activities and services alive.

Few epitomise this more than Blackstone Motor Group, who have woven themselves into the fabric of Drogheda since Noel Stewart and Donal Waters opened their motoring doors in 2007. They have since opened up outlets in Cavan and Dundalk, 2016 and 2019 respectively. The addition of Opel to their existing motoring family is a great endorsement of their business ethos.    

Noel Stewart began his motor industry career as an apprentice mechanic, climbing the ranks through sales and aftersales roles before he became a Dealer Principal at the young age of 29. Donal Waters first developed his motor industry expertise in car fleet hire, prior to him joining a manufacturer team and excelling in sales management roles. 

Noel and Donal pride themselves on a personal and customer-centric approach and are familiar faces at both the SIMI National Franchise awards and local Drogheda Chamber of Commerce awards. Crowned National Franchised Sales and Aftersales Operation of the Year 2015, they won the Drogheda Chamber of Commerce SME Business of the Year 2016 accolade and enjoyed the Drogheda Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Award for Best Customer Service for two years running in 2014 and 2015.
